I opened my little shoppe 21/2 years ago. It was somewhat on a whim, a dream and my fantasy that people loved vintage, they just didn't know it yet.
My business plan was in my head with a few notes written on scattered scrap paper.
Through tremendous hard work, trial and error and support from friends, family and customers, I kept going.
Some days are better than others. I love both for different reasons. On slow days I manage to accomplish paperwork, rearrange and hopefully restyle. On crazy days I am thankful for the purchases and the visits.
If you think for a second that I only work in the shoppe, you're not too smart. When I work in the shop, it's the reward for the work I did behind the scenes.
Painting at midnight, driving to source product, ordering when needed, the computer work, the paperwork...it rarely ends.
I don't want it to end!
I am beyond thankful. I'm thankful for this opportunity and I'm thankful for the results. I'm thankful for the people the shoppe has brought into my life.
I enjoy each step of the process. Ok, not the paperwork!
As I look for ways to improve myself and the shoppe, I know I want to keep my dream going.
This past weekend was ah-mazing! The energy in the shoppe was festive and shoppers were merry. It was the reward for the craziness that made it possible. Black Friday & Small Business Saturday
I know it's a long post, but it's been a long month of restyling, planning and decision making.
Thanks for reading and thank you for your continued support of Vintage Restyled. It makes a difference in the lives of many. And it is most appreciated!
Cheers to a Merry Season!
XO-
