Restock and Restyle

Whew!  We made it through the first week of school without incident!  In fact it was a great week!

I remember when the girls started kindergarten and we eased in to school.

Those days are over. We were all in-trying to adjust to early mornings, math exams and daily soccer practices.  They did great, Hubby and I are a bit tired.

Just as the girls rocked the first week, we did so in the shoppe!

Y'all loved the new jewelry line as much as me!

The quality is exceptional and the words are heartfelt and inspirational.

She will restock this week! As will I.
I was reluctant to display Fall items, but you proved that you are ready for the new season.

You will have to excuse me this week as I restyle the shoppe (again, thank you!), catch up on business demands, join Good Day Columbus on Fox28 Tuesday at 9:00, cheer on my oldest at 4 soccer games and my youngest at 3 games.  It will be a fabulous week with little blogging.

Cheers to a great week for all!

Before and After #2

The shoppe was completely restyled this week.  A few side tables made the restyle possible.

The first restyled table was featured yesterday:

The next before and after began with this:

I grabbed Wrought Iron and painted her up.

Isn't she beautiful now?

After I painted, I applied dark wax.
While the wax was still wet I applied LeDirt to the detailed area.

See the detail on the legs?

LeDirt works great with a detailed piece of furniture. It stays in the crevices and highlights the area.

So much to see in the shoppe.
I hope you'll pop in today 10:00-3:00 & Saturday 10:00-4:00.

Before and After

With the restyled shoppe coming together,
I wanted to share some sweet side tables that have arrived.
This cutie was well loved.
The legs and skirt are painted in Maison Blanche Silver Mink.
The tabletop was painted in coffee bean.
Here she is...

She's so sweet. Perfect for a night stand or side table.

We are open 12:00-7:00 today.
Come in and see this cutie and so much more!

The Restyled Shoppe

Hello!
I hope you're ready for photo overload.
I spent 8+ hours in the shoppe ( & could spend 8 more), restyling the shoppe.
I'm loving the new look, the new furnishings and the sprinkling of fall that is beginning to debut.

The shoppe is OPEN 10:00-3:00 today! I hope you'll pop in and see all the goodies!

Headbands are restocked! They sold out within hours the last time we had them!

Crochet Boot Cuffs are restocked as well!
Hometown Pride continues to shine in the shoppe!

Scarves, jewelry, stadium blankets & pillows.

Kick off is September 7th, be ready to show your Buckeye pride!

In honor of back to school week, we have a few vintage maps in the shoppe!

Pillows, linens & barn doors are in the shoppe.

I tried to wait before putting out some fall but I couldn't!
Just a sprinkling-handmade pumpkins and general goodies are in.

I have new side tables and restyled furniture.

And what excites me the most is a new jewelry line that I know you will love!

Hand cast and hand stamped by the sweetest gal. I can't wait for you to see these necklaces & bracelets!

I will be working on the new jewelry area today. I love it all.

Open 10:00-3:00.

Garage Door Makeover

With the girls back in school, I mentioned that I will tackle some projects around the house.
We have a 100+ year old farmhouse. Our home has been renovated during its time.
One addition was a three car garage.

I recently power washed the house and garage and only took this photo.
Anyway, the garage is massive and stands out when you drive up. It's kind of an eye sore.
It would be fabulous if it had cool carriage style doors, but it doesn't.
Hubby isn't on board with replacing perfectly good doors.

So what does one do?

You scrape, prime and paint the trim. Then you add hardware!

Isn't it better?

Want to know the best part?

The hardware is magnetic! No drilling, no holes.

I got two sets online at Bed Bath & Beyond. With a coupon my total cost was $32, for 2 sets.
I'm happy, Hubby is happy.

I'm off to the shoppe for a major restyle!

A Fresh Start

Happy Monday!

This isn't like the previous 13 Monday's, this is the start of another school year!
Woo-hoo!
It's bittersweet, but I must say we are ready!
My oldest is starting high school and my youngest is right behind her (8th grade).
It's an exciting time.
What will I do with my time, now that I'm not driving them around?

My store will get a much needed restyle. We delivered three large items to their forever homes this weekend.  So I will be busy restyling and bringing in fall goodies.
Yes, fall.
Time sure does fly!

I also plan to continue sprucing up our farmhouse. We've been slowly making improvements.
Nothing major, just time consuming.

Hanging these curtains took two years!
I have no doubt I will fill my time with projects, the shoppe and a little fun too!

But first, to celebrate back to school and a dear friend's birthday, a massage and lunch are on the agenda!  The rest can wait a day!

Have a great Monday!

A Vintage Ride

My oldest will start high school on Monday. She is thrilled!
Somehow starting high school and driving go together in her mind.

We were at a festival and spied this 1972 Jeep for sale. I wanted to drive it home, I loved it so.
I was very happy to see she loved the vintage beauty as well.

Even if it did not have all the bells and whistles that we have grown to appreciate.

We also found a truck that made my heart go pitter-patter.

I was ready to drive up and grab it. But what made me love it more was that SHE wanted it!

We have some time before she begins her driving journey. I must say, I'm thrilled with her choices thus far.

Enjoy the day!

School Spirit

Hello!
How are you all?  It's been a while.
All is fine, we've just been busy with the end of summer, so please understand my absence.

School officially begins next Monday, with orientation this week, so life will be changing again shortly.

To stay calm, somewhat organized and a bit sane, I've been gathering goodies for the shoppe.
Yes, this is the relaxing part of my life!

We brought in some New Albany goodies! We love our town, where we live, have the shoppe and my kids go to school. So we show our Eagle Pride!

Stadium Blankets are handmade by a local friend and artist. They are super soft!
Different sports can be ordered. I am surprising my daughter with a soccer blanket.
She made the HS team!

Many of our bracelets have sports charms and New Albany colored beads.

I realize not everyone loves our town, but you certainly love
The Undisputed National Champion Football Team!
In honor of our Buckeyes, we have some goodies.

Pillows, scarves, headbands!
Stadium Blankets make a great gift!

We have OSU bracelets and earrings, both locally made and adorable!

I'm excited about our fall. Once the girls are back in school, I'll be excited to share our new finds, restyled furniture and some more goodies.

Have a great week!
