Hi Friends!
Today is the start of school - woo-hoo!
I won't show you pictures of my 7th and 8th graders, instead I share today the miracle of organization. I share the reason I will not lose my mind when I enter my house.
I share the mudroom.
Isn't that the most beautiful sight?
This is where it started.
Blank, painted walls, with a few hooks.
Hubby lined the walls with tongue & groove boards.
Then he built 4 cubbies with additional shelving above.
He used cabinet grade wood.
Let's remember that this is a 100+ year old home, so nothing was even, square or level.
I would have been happy with it at this stage - built and primed.
But we continued and here it is in all its beauty!
Plenty of room for shoes and boots underneath.
He upcycled old legs I had. Sometimes it's good to be a hoarder.
Each cubby/locker has 3 hooks.
We reused the hooks we had.
Each family member has an initial, so there is no confusion as to where to place your crap stuff.
Hubby did the whole project in a weekend!
He did an amazing job!
I am over the moon thrilled with this space!
I must share it here:
