Fancy Furniture Finished!

As I looked back through the many, many posts I shared over 2013, this one was by far the most popular.  I originally posted it on January 7, 2013.  This project took about a month and was custom finished for a sweet family.  Since then, we have finished numerous projects and restyled lots of furniture.  I still think this is a favorite of mine.

Now that the girls are back in school, I am ready to get back to work.  What better way to kick off the year than with a big furniture redo.
I am thrilled to share this makeover!  This beautiful set is ready to be enjoyed again by a hip, young, growing family.  Paint has the power to transform and revive – just have a look!

As you know, the client selected the colors to coordinate with her guest room.  We worked closely to achieve the distressed look that she envisioned.  The white is Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Old white and the green was from Home Depot, a custom match to her fabric.

I love all the detail.  Although, I was not loving painting, sanding and waxing all the detail.  But it was worth the effort!

Thanks for stopping by to see the fancy furniture redo!  Be sure to follow along on FB.

I am looking forward to new projects in 2014!
Shoppe is open 11-4 today!

You've inspired me to paint a cabinet I have in my dining room. Love how fresh the furniture pieces look!

They're gorgeous pieces to begin with but your paint job takes it over the top!

Wow what beautiful pieces. I paint just about everything, but I don't think I would have painted these fabulous pieces.

Wow! Nice job! You had some dang nice pieces to start with. I know that it was a lot of hard work. Well done.

You did an excellent job painting and distressing these pieces and the color combination is lovely. That said, I've got to admit that it's an absolute crime to have painted over this gorgeous wood furniture! The suite appears to be rather old (vintage? I sure pray they are not antiques!) and in excellent condition. There is no way on earth I'd have been able to take a paint brush to any of it, I'd have been afraid of being struck down by lightning. I would have encouraged the owner to sell the pieces to someone who would actually appreciate them in their original glory, and to purchase other pieces that were not so precious for painting.

I also believe in the power of paint, especially on furniture. However, there are some pieces you just don`t paint to maintain their integrity.

WOW! That is some very cool furniture, I want that bed!

I definately would not have painted this set. The antique value is now destroyed. All that booked veneer is now gone. I do think you did an excellent job on the painting, I just think it was wrong to paint something of this caliber!

How beautiful! And my philosophy on painting furniture - furniture should be used and loved and if painting it makes the owner fall in love with it all over again, then that's a really good thing! You really gave these pieces an opportunity for a whole new life! Nicely done!

Gorgeous! Sharon hit the nail on the head! Not everyone wants a house full of wood! It's nice to mix.

The Samsung Galaxy Note is available in elegant white
and black colour. But it is hard to hold it in one hand especially to female users.
3 Mp, the camera is clearly aimed at competing with other semi-high range cameras, not those that compete with those inside a
smartphone or tablet.

The Canon EOS 5D Mark II is $2,499 for body only or $3,299 with a 24'105mm lens. Make a list of your requirements, and then choose the right model for yourself. Well Canon, hate to say it, but most amateurs don't like to haul around an external flash
unit.

Furniture is made out of a lot of different materials and sometimes finding the right one to fit your needs and personality can be a little tough. There are many benefits to having a table made of glass rather than a table that is made from another type of material. akıllı sehpa modelleri
