Thank You

I must thank you all for following along on this little blog.
What started as a little hobby has grown in to a legit business.

I started this blog as a way to share my before and after projects.  Since starting, I have shared over a 1,000 before and after's with y'all.

I have also shared my home, my family - in small doses, my move, our new house, our lake house projects and details of my business.
Lake house kitchen makeover.

Lake house Fireplace makeover.

I love that I can look back and see how the blog and I have progressed.

So as I close my space at Heritage Square Antique Mall and begin my new adventure, I hope you will continue to follow along and pop on to FB to see the latest.

Not sure what will come out of this next chapter, but I know there are many projects ahead!

Thank you for your support, comments, patronage and friendship.  You have made this all possible.

Barn Sale Recap

Thank you all for coming out to the BARN SALE!  We had a great day, good weather (mostly) and moved some items to their new home.  I can't believe it was a week ago and I am just posting now!  I tell you, time is getting away from me.

Most of the items featured in the photos have sold.  The remaining items will be sorted and the furniture will land in my newest location.  SHHH, I cannot make it official until tomorrow!

Thanks again for stopping by!  Amanda and I loved chatting with you, listening to your plans with your new finds and meeting new people.  The best sale was the Barn Door.  She loved it, had no plans but knew she needed it!  That's my kind of shopping!

We will have another in the Fall.  At least, that's the plan!

Buying to Sell by MMS

Ever since I opened my booth a few years ago, I have received questions about the nitty-gritty.  The things people do not discuss in a blog post.

I get it, because I was the one asking questions when I was opening shop.

When Miss Mustard Seed's post arrived yesterday, it seemed like she addressed everything I have wondered and been asked.

I encourage you to read this fabulous post!

Even if you do not have a booth or shop, as a shopper it's fun to learn about the people you buy from, what they have to offer and why.

Enjoy!

Closing Shop

Happy Summer!

I suppose this past weekend was the start of summer.  Although, I was in Erie, PA wrapped in a winter coat, boots and a blanket.  It felt more like summer a few weeks ago!

I had hoped to go pickin' between games, but instead I logged some quality kid time.  We had a great weekend and I almost took the whole weekend off.

This is our last few days of school, so I will do my very best to post each day, but I am putting it in writing that I may skip a day (or two).

So what's up this week for Vintage Restyled?

CLOSING SHOP

Yes, after 2 1/2 years, I am leaving my space at Heritage Square Antique Mall.  That is why everything that is there is marked down!  Time to clear it out!

All remaining items will be picked up by Hubby and me on Friday, 5/31.

Buffet as found, $225.

Vintage Plant Stand SOLD.

It looks so empty!  But that's what I want.  I do not want to drag this stuff home.
Be sure to shop today for the best deals.

Teacher Gifts

Memorial Day Weekend has arrived!
The kick off to summer, the promise of lazy days ahead and the end of our school year.

I know everyone is on a different schedule.  My Indiana pals are done, my NY friends have another month and we are finished next Thursday.

No matter when your school year ends, one thing is common - teacher gifts.

I'm the worst gift-giver!  That's why when I saw this post by The Crafting Chicks, I jumped - shopped, printed and now it awaits delivery!

I mixed it up and did a burlap tote (neutral) and included an insulated cup, magazine and beach towel - necessities for summer.  Obviously, you can add anything you wish.

You can go to the site and print off the tags.

Or perhaps it got your creative juices flowing!

Either way, the end of school is upon us!
Cheers to a great summer!

PS- I'm off to Erie, PA for a soccer tournament with my 12 year old.  Hope it's ripe for picking!

What's in the Barn Sale?

I know everyone is crazy busy at this time of year.  I do promise if you carve out a little bit of time to swing by the barn sale, you'll be glad you did!  We are putting the finishing touches on it all day today and it's shaping up to have some fabulous items!

There are steals - like garage sale prices.

There are scores - hard to find, amazing patina items.

There are treasures, ready to move into your home.

And for the DIYer, there are windows, old wood and of course unfinished furniture.

Mixed in, you'll find gardening items, smalls, pictures, lanterns, buckets, lights...I can go on for a while.  Instead, here are some shots:

Just look at this beauty!  It has a mirror/shelf attachment too.  It's an antique buffet/server.  I just picked her up and she is sitting in the barn!

Hope you'll be there!  I promise it'll be worth your time!

Updates on FB!
