Two years ago, on a whim I signed a lease and moved into Heritage Square Antique Mall, in Columbus, Ohio.
My business approach was simple: make enough to cover my costs.
Not very business savvy if you ask me, but I just wanted to cover my expenses so I could go get more goodies!
On day one I reached my goal and have been off and running.
There have been some hits:
Some misses:
And some changes along the way:
Then we opened another space within Heritage Square Antique Mall.
Followed that up with a place in Delaware.
Quickly opened in Tuttle Mall.
Turned around and participated in The Rural Society Show:
Along the way, I amped up the custom painting side of the biz.
I cannot imagine the total number of pieces I have painted. Hundreds!
It has been a wonderful journey. I am excited and open to what lies ahead. Whatever it may be.
One thing I know for sure, I have furniture to paint!
Thanks for sticking with me as I try new things, experiment with locations, paint colors and furniture styles.
