New Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Color

Hi All,

I have a new Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Color that I am loving!

Olive is my newest color.  I was feeling the need for a little green this season.

Actually, the color was inspired by the latest Ballard Design catalog.  CA texted me as soon as it arrived and we were both smitten with the green furnishings.

For $1,300, you can own this beauty. Yikes!

Ignoring the price, I focused on the color.

Two weekends ago, my brother flew in from Minnesota and we travelled for a funeral.  On the way back I stopped at the cutest little store in Seville, Ohio.  Funky Junk Boutique is worth a visit!  I wish I was travelling solo, I would have spent the day but lil brother would have none of it and rushed me along.  They carry Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, so I grabbed the Olive on my quick stop.

This 7 drawer oak dresser needed some restyling and this was the perfect color.

I’m sure I shared my dislike for oak.  Finding a positive -  it is a solid, heavy piece!

I’m liking it already, even with wet paint.

Using both clear and dark waxes, I aged the piece.  I kept the top oak and cleaned it up.

Using the existing hardware.

All done and ready for transport to Heritage Square Antique Mall!

There she sits!  All dressed up in Annie Sloan’s Olive, for the holidays!  It is a terrific color and a solid dresser.  Hope it finds a home soon because I have some other goodies ready.

Have you entered the Awesome GIVEAWAY?

XO-

It's gorgeous. I am painting using AS Olive I think to paint and lacquer my round oak (I don't like oak either) kitchen nook table. Thank you for posting so I could see what it look likes
