This past weekend Hubby and friends went to the cottage to close it up for the year. He makes it sound like a ton of work, but let’s be real – it’s a guys weekend. A much needed guys weekend away.
With our move and all the fun stuff that went into moving this summer, we did not enjoy the cottage like we planned. In fact, I had hoped to be back there a few times in August. But that never happened.
When Hubby returned on Sunday he had a car load of stuff that we had left. Lots of clothes, towels, food and some appliances. A treasure also made the journey home.
On our very last trip, I found this baby. Of course it’s bigger than I thought, so I had to leave it behind.
I placed it in the cottage and left. Forgetting all about it. Look how long it is!
Anyway, it made it home. The brown legs were not doing it any good. The legs are fabulous, the color – not so much.
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint – Emperor’s Red to the rescue.
How about some dark wax too?
She will be available at THE BARN SALE. That is, if I don’t find the perfect spot for her in my home.
XO-
