This is our last weekend of summer. I’m sad that the lazy days are gone – no schedule, limited activities and sleeping in (for some of us). But I would be lying if I wasn’t looking forward to a few hours without children.
Even with the girls home, I was able to complete a few projects. I needed to get furniture delivered yesterday, so I have been painting up a storm. That was in between nursing a strep throat victim and watching every episode of Victorious.
First up is a buffet/console.

I found this dated beauty in good shape. Everything worked and slid properly. No fixing – love that!
CA picked a color and I was off and painting.

Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Emperor’s Red was the color of choice. Followed by dark wax.
The hardware needed an update as well. I chose to spray the existing drawer hardware in ORB. Then I replaced the door hardware.

It makes a big difference.

I must say, the red is now one of my favorite colors offered by Annie Sloan. It is rich and deep and makes a statement.
She will be available for purchase September 1 at a new location! Details coming on Monday!
In the meantime, the SALE continues in B-20 at Heritage Square Antique Mall. I am closing this space on August 31. So shop now for the best selection.
Have a great weekend!
XO-

You are killing me with the suspense!! Love the red!
Gorgeous! I just finished a dresser for a customer in a custom ASCP mix to get a Coral color and I love it too... Hmm.. maybe I need to find a way to incorporate one of these colors into my home! Great job!
Oh, that red is amazing! I need to get serious about a couple of pieces I have sitting around calling out for paint.
Can't wait to hear your news! You're branching out everywhere! Love that! Great makeover....you're so brave with color....I always revert to cream or grey!
