Simply Vague-Tuttle Crossing Opens Tomorrow!

Finally this week has ended!  I’m looking forward to a three day weekend and the opening of Simply Vague at Tuttle Crossing Mall.

I shared photos yesterday of items you will find at this location.  You can see it here.

Here’s some more pieces!

Tuttle final 001

Lightly distressed corner shelving unit, complete with chicken wire.  I thought it would land in Heritage, but it was diverted to Tuttle.

Tuttle final 009

Restyled side table with great detail.  There is a coffee table to match!

This red console stands front and center, upon your arrival.

Tuttle final 014

This graphite dresser is fabulously worn and highlighted with simple knobs.

Remember these…

Tuttle final 015

The Tiger Oak dresser that I swore I would never part with.  Yep, it’s in the store.  I do not have room in the new house and I would love to see it in a new home.  The vintage glass doorknobs are fantastic.

Yes, the gentleman’s dresser that I restyled and chose not to part with, has also made its debut at Simply Vague.

The pew/bench can be found in the window.

I also completed the 4-poster queen size bed.

Bed 001

Bed 002

This bed was painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Pure White.  You can get a complete set, as these pieces were done with the same finish.

There are a few more pieces sprinkled throughout the store.  I can’t wait for the opening!

We have another soccer tournament this weekend.  Fortunately, it is in Dublin.  I plan to pop into Simply Vague-Tuttle throughout the weekend.

Lastly, I will be closing B-20 at Heritage Square today.  Don’t worry, B-10 will be well stocked with lots of new stuff.

Have a great weekend and thanks for your comments and well wishes!

What’s at the New Store?

Well I survived!  I drove over 143 miles yesterday,  I could have gone to Cleveland, but instead I made many trips to pick up treasures, supplies and deliver all the finished goods to Simply Vague-Tuttle.

Needless to say, I am taking the day to get caught up with life.  I may do it in my pj’s too.

Today and tomorrow, I will share photos of the 16 pieces of furniture I have for sale at Simply Vague-Tuttle.  To put that in perspective, I normally carry up to 5 painted pieces at Heritage.  So this was a HUGE undertaking for me.

The store opens Saturday at 10:00 am.  It’s at Tuttle Mall in Dublin and is located next to the food court.  The store features wares from all Ohio artisans They have over 175 vendors.  It truly is an amazing store.  There is such talent.

Tuttle final 004

Fabulous round, maple restyled table.

Tuttle final 010

This old chest has so much character.  It’s Hubby’s favorite.

Tuttle final 013

This beauty can go in any home.  It’s done in Pure White.

Tuttle final 006

This Bassett table has been given the shabby chic look.

The matching map table is a gem.

Beat up and totally unique coffee table.  I love the legs!

I can’t wait to share the rest!

Closing…

Closing 013

As I am sure you know…I am closing B-20 at Heritage Square Antique Mall.  It is the space in the back, just ask at the desk.  Everything must be cleared out by tomorrow evening.  Come and get it!

CLOSING SALE

When I decided to close B-20 at Heritage Square Antique Mall, I was relieved.  It took some pressure off and I was able to focus on my other ventures.

Yesterday I spent time reorganizing, arranging, marking down and preparing to close.  I was a little sad.

The space will officially close on Friday.  I would rather move the stuff then bring it home.  So I marked down everything.

Closing 013

As you can see, some stuff has found a new home.

Closing 008

Closing 006

Dishes are marked down.  Many are $1 each.

Closing 016

In B-10 I marked the black shelving unit down to $12.  It’s great storage and would be perfect in a garage or a booth space!

I am off and running today.  Making my final deliveries to Tuttle Mall for the opening of Simply Vague.  Then I am making two stops to pick up treasures for The Rural Society Show October 5 & 6.  No rest until mid-October!

A White Pew

I am pretty busy preparing for the opening of Simply Vague – Tuttle this Saturday.

Tournament 005

I made another delivery on Friday and the store is really coming together!

I plan to make two trips Wednesday.  I may even nap after I deliver!

Anyway, I thought I would share another project that made its way to the shop.

Suzanne helped by painting the first coat.  She was an orange wood.  She’s so much prettier in white!  The bench seat opens for storage.  Yes, it’s a bench that we have called a pew since I found her.

She looks like a pew.

Wouldn’t it look great with pillows pulled up to a dining table?

It would be perfect in a mudroom too.

Lots of possibilities!

Stay tuned, as I share more finished pieces.

I am heading to Heritage Square Antique Mall today & Friday.  I will mark down the items that are left in B20 and bring a few new pieces into B10.  Be sure to shop B-10 & B-20!

Have a great day!

Better than the Outlet Mall

Hello All.

Hope you had a good weekend.  We spent the weekend out-of-town near Cincinnati.  Though the reason for our trip was a soccer tournament, I squeezed in a little shopping time too.  I hit the cutest little town- Lebanon, if you are ever near by, it’s worth a stop.  Great antique and gift shops.

Then the power shop came.  Ikea, Ballard Design Outlet, Frontgate Outlet, Pottery Barn Outlet.  It was exhausting!  And I must say, I am appalled at the prices at some of these outlet stores.  The quality and the price just don’t add up.

Perhaps my thrifting days have made me cheap.  I would rather pay for a one of a kind, restyled piece that is solid wood.  Look at this…

house 009

I scored this beauty.  It was beat up, but I absolutely loved the legs!

I debated painting the legs but decided just to clean them up.

Tournament 004

I cleaned up the legs and the base and roughed up the top.

This rustic baby is at Simply Vague – Tuttle.  Available for sale Saturday.

I promise it’s a cool table and 1/2 the price of anything you would find at the outlets!

Hurry – B20 at Heritage Square Antique Mall will close Friday.  Everything on Sale.

Better in White

new home 001

I picked up this beauty several months ago.  She found her way to the back of my storage while I decided on a color.

Sometimes things look better white.

Very light distressing – only to highlight the details.

Country Living

This is how the country folk live.

So peaceful.

The kids love the John Deere.

Hubby can always build a fire.  We have firewood for years.  See the tree house?

I was not compensated by John Deere for these photos.  Our girls jump on the tractor every chance they get.

We are adjusting to country living.

Have a great day!
