Before we left for vacation I completed a BIG project. An interior decorator wanted a breakfront painted in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, Old White. After emailing photos and details, I picked up the piece and got started.
This nice classic piece was the client’s mothers hutch and had sentimental value. Unfortunately, it was too dark for the space.
I got started in sections. This piece required 2 coats and distressing.
I painted the wire and the hardware.
All the distressing was achieved with various grits of sand paper. The client did not want the dark wax.
This was the largest piece I have worked on. It also was a significant transformation. I am so thrilled that the client can use this piece that her mom cherished, but make it her style.
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint goes a long way. I used an entire quart on this piece!
I hope you love the transformation as much as the client does!
