I am excited to share this desk makeover! I love the color and the way it turned out! Sometimes things just work.

Forgive my before shot! I just jumped right in.
You can see that the bottom drawer needed to be filled and drilled for the hardware. Thankfully the hardware was with the desk.

Isn’t that odd?

I was able to remove the rest with a sander and then apply walnut stain.
Meanwhile, I had painted the desk with Annie Sloan Provence. Oh how I love this color!
(Note: you should really strip and then paint)

Isn’t she a beauty?

The dark wax gives it the old world feel.

I painted, waxed, sanded and applied dark wax to the hardware. I’ve never done that before, though a bit of work, I am loving the look.

So you do not have to scroll up, here is the before.

She is pretty and available for sale. She will be arriving this weekend at Heritage Square Antique Mall.

It looks gorgeous! I like the antique look.
It's a gem and so is a husband who will strip it for you! The finished product is beautiful. I found your post at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia.

Love the style of this desk and the color is fabulous. Thanks so much for sharing at Project Queen's Link Party.
Gorgeous!! I love how it looks and I wish I could come snag it from you :) I'm looking for a desk and this would be perfect. Too bad I live in Fairbanks-lol
Super Cute. Love the top and the gentle distressing. Bythewayjenngray.blogspot.com
Lovely! I'm just starting out with the chalk paint on furniture. I've only tried white, but Provence is my favorite. Isn't that always the case when you start removing a finish or wallpaper or tile or ANYTHING? Some of it goes easier and some of it wants to stay there FOREVER!
I LOVE it! Came out beautiful!
Gorgeous makeover. She won't last long at the Mall. 8-)
I agree with your title, I love this desk too!! The color is just yummy!
