Creating an Old World Master

Hi All,

I am thrilled to share a before and after with you all!

I received a request from a blog follower to paint two night stands to match an existing armoire.  I was thrilled that she contacted me and excited to get to work.

She brought me a pair of these:

They each have a marble top.

Using Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Cream, I got busy.

Painted and sanded with one coat of clear wax.

To give the night stands an old world feel, I applied dark wax.

The pair of night stands will go in her master bedroom.

She also scored a beautiful headboard.

Lots of detail.

Instead of banging my head against a wall by painting this with a brush, we matched the paint to a can of spray paint.  Then glazed it to achieve the old world feel she wanted.

I love how everything turned out and more importantly, so did my client!  I love that nothing is matchy-matchy, yet when pulled together it works beautifully.

Thanks for stopping, have a great weekend!

XO-
