One Project Complete

Happy March!

I have to say that yesterday was so much better than the last!

It started off with 12 ladies touring Heritage Square Antique Mall.  It was fun to see the different tastes, the booths they gravitated towards, their purchases and hear their comments.  It’s so rare for me to walk the mall, I usually run out of time and hit my usual spots.  It was a pleasure.

With a relaxing start to the day, I was ready to get back to some painting.  And, I actually finished a project!  I was afraid I would not be able to say that this week!

I’m sharing this awful picture (taken on my old iPhone) because you need to see that horrible hardware!  The glare in the photo is from the high gloss top coat.  Yuck!

With the hardware removed and thrown away, I painted the legs and the base.  But the top had this weird line where the wood came together.  Once we sanded it and stained it, it became even more pronounced.

So I painted a fat stripe by taping off.  Once dried and waxed, I lightly sanded and applied dark wax.

She has such nice curves.

Notice the hardware?  How much better is that!?

With stuff on top, I am liking it.  It’s a lot more subtle with my crap on it.  Not sure where she will land, but she’s serving a purpose in my living room.

One down.

XO-
