A Framed Bathroom Mirror

Hi All,

Hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed the game.  We did a little of this and that and ended with a family get together for the Super Bowl.  Go Giants-remember I am still a New Yorker.

We also celebrated a milestone here at Vintage Restyled.  Yup, this small biz at Heritage Square Antique Mall hit the one year mark!  I think I am the only one celebrating, but I am enjoying the one-gal party!

We had to include a project or two – what would the weekend be without a project?

Hubby tackled the master bath mirror.  It was the only mirror left in the house that had not been framed.

Girls Bathroom Mirror

The Master Bath is just like the girls XL mirror.  We selected door casings for our mirror and painted it with the house trim to match.

Total cost is $2.50/foot.  For our XL mirror that is just under $50.  Of course your cost is based on the trim/casings that you select.

Trust me – an easy, affordable project that yields great results!  High impact is just what we wanted.  If you are looking at a frameless mirror in your home, this project is for you.

We have done three mirrors, three different ways.  Perhaps three times is a charm because Hubby used adhesive designed for marble and attached the casings right to the mirror.  The key is to apply pressure until it sets.  This was by far the easiest method!

Maybe one day soon I will share the full mirror.  That would require the bathroom to be clean.  That just wasn’t part of my weekend plans.

Happy Monday!

XO-

What kind of adhesive did you use? We did this in our master and one of my boards just fell off. Awesome. :(
