Our small town is home to The McCoy Community Center for the Arts. The McCoy has exposed us to some pretty cool shows over the years – Martin Short, Sara Evans, LeAnn Rimes to name a few.
So when my girlfriend and McCoy board member texted me and asked if I would donate a piece of furniture to the silent auction at their Hidden Talent event, my reaction was – Yes.
A few minutes passed and it hit me…what on earth could I donate?
This dining chair was brought back to life with a French finish. I layered several colors of paint, sanding in between and finished it off with a stain.
The seat was covered in a simple and neutral drop cloth.
The French pillow compliments the chair and aids in the look I was working toward.
The Hidden Talent Event is this evening. It features local talent by New Albany residents. Not sure my chair qualifies as a hidden talent, but I am happy to support The McCoy and all it offers our community.
Have a great weekend!
XO-
