Drop Leaf Table

I have a thing for tables.  I need to rescue them and revive them.  I plan to keep one and put it in my empty foyer one of these days.
This one landed in my store.
The drop leaf table was in need of love.  The top was a mess.

After lots of sanding, she was ready to be reinforced.

Then painted.

I worked with a paint specialist and arrived at a black that dries super hard.  It is perfect for a table or anything that gets a lot of abuse.
The paint will not go through my sprayer because it dries so fast, so I rolled it with a small Purdy roller.
The base of the table received a coat of ASCP Louis Blue and Paris Grey, mixed together.  A light distressing finished her off.

The distressing brought out the wood through both the black and the Chalk Paint.
Here she is ready for a new home.

I hope people realize the other side of the table lifts up!  If I kept it open, it would take up my whole space!

Have a great day!

I love how this turned out!!! I had a similar table to this during college. If only I had known about painting furniture!

Tables are great. Every time my husband decides to replace one of ours, I hate to let it go. But then if I had your talent for reviving them, I wouldn't need to let them go.
