Accessories make the outfit and in this case they complete our guest room. The accessories create the cozy, cottage feel I was longing to achieve.
Fresh flowers are always welcoming.
A scale that holds an Ironstone bowl with lavender sits on a bedside table.
Old books, a clock, a pair of glasses and a dress form (purchased at Heritage Square Antique Mall from Polly) sit on the dresser.
When my guests were coming it was 90+ degrees and still summer, so the shells were appropriate. These will be changed out shortly!
I scored the euro shams, which seem to work with the bedding.
This darling, old ladder has the perfect patina for this room. I found it at the antique mall for $7.50! It will hold towels and an extra blanket.
The breezy curtains were purchased from GW for $1 each. The little rocking chair is mine from childhood.
You learned all about my dresser (you can read about it here), I added a mirror in the same finish. They were not a set but they seem to work well together.
The wreath is made of wood. It has the same color that is in the bedding, so this will be a permanent fixture.
So there you have it. The accessories of the guest room.
As the seasons change and guests come and go, I am sure things will evolve, but for now I am marking this room as done.
XO-
Shannon
Note: All items were purchased from thrift stores. Many from the Target section (they are new). The total cost for accessories was just $32.50!! I hope Hubby is reading this!

I've been trying to come up with something "brilliant" above the bed in our guest room. Love the idea of the open frame. I think I found my something "brilliant"! Thank you.

Such a beautiful room! Careful though, or your guests will never want to leave :)
