Bye Bye Brass

We all have accessories that are a bit out of date.

My dear lake friends just bought a house.  It is a beautiful house on a gorgeous piece of property.  Complete with a pool and a pool house!  What fun!  They have some work ahead of them to make this house their home, mainly unpacking and buying lots and lots of furniture.

Some simple updates, will help move this process along.

Debbie handed me some brass beauties.  You can tell that they all had their day (many years ago).

This brass lamp needed an update.

Here she is, sitting in the shed covered with ORB Metallic.  A quick coat of spray paint and she is ready for 2011!  (Note: I did an extra coat and painted the wire shade holder)

Using the same spray paint, we updated the knobs as well.

Debbie gave me this beautiful Chandi, it will also receive a coat of Oil Rubbed Bronze.  We ran out of paint, so it will have to wait a bit.

Once it is complete, it will hang beautifully in the dining room.

This is an easy and cost effective way to update your accessories.  The weather is cooperating, so bust out the spray paint and makeover some gems.

You’ll be happy you did!

Quick disclaimer: The pictures were quickly snapped before the rain arrived.  No staging, but I am sure you pick up on the amazing transformation.

XO-

Shannon

Love the brass lamp transformations. Strangely enough, I'm loving brass all over again, too!
