We may be on vacation, but not a vacation from thrifting. There are treasures galore up here, just waiting for me to scoop.
First stop, a barn sale. I hit the mother load at this one.
I scored the three chairs for $1 each. That window is darling – not sure what I will do with it, but had to have it. The old, solid wood door is fabulous.
This antique ironing board will make a great sofa table!
The coffee table ($3) is going in the cottage. The two long pictures are already transformed.
Let’s look at that baby one more time.
Then, we hit a few church sales and other garage sales. I had a partner for most of my stops. Bridget is redoing her cottage next door and is on the hunt as well.
French provincial vanity.
Industrial Chic.
Old pickle crocks. The numbers=gallons. That’s good to know when I make my pickles.
Old minnow bucket, or a great planter!
Four beautiful boxes. They are perfectly distressed. Love the New York on the sides.
Love these!
Can’t wait to see what other treasures we uncover in the weeks to come.
PS: At the barn sale, they had free barn wood. The beams were a-mazing! We looked into having them cut and made into hardwood flooring. It didn’t work out but I am still fantasizing over my authentic barn floors. Darn.
Keep thrifting!
XO-
Shannon

I would have never thought to use an ironing board as a sofa table...genius!
